Murphysboro Hometown Christmas

Christmas is in full effect in Murphysboro this year, and I couldn't be happier about it. The streets are strung with lights, and our local businesses have decorated with garland and bows, it is truly a winter wonderland. Be sure to visit the Town Center Park, where our First Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony was held earlier this month. It is a great place to sit and relax and enjoy the the display of lights and greenery, and Visit Santa at Santa's Cottage on December 16th @3pm. Afterward, enjoy an evening at the Historic Liberty Theater @6pm for a free showing of "The Santa Clause" hosted by Murphysboro Hometown Christmas and Murphy Wall State Bank & Trust. The Historic Hull House Inn has prepared a classic Christmas display as well to make sure all of our guests and town residents have no trouble at all finding their holiday spirit.
